Zip Pay allows you to shop now and pay later with flexible interest-free repayments. Here’s how to use Zip Pay at checkout.
Check your eligibility
To use Zip Pay, you will need:
- To be at least 18 years old
- A valid Australian mobile number and email address
- An Australian debit or credit card for repayments
- To pass Zip’s application and identity verification checks
Zip may request additional documentation as part of its responsible lending requirements.
How to pay with Zip Pay at checkout
- Add your items to the cart and proceed to checkout.
- Select Zip Pay as your payment method.
- Log in to your Zip account, or create one if you’re a new customer.
- Review your repayment schedule and approve the purchase.
- Your order will be processed once Zip approves the transaction.
Depending on your Zip Pay account, you may be asked to make a small upfront payment at checkout.
Spending limits and approvals
Zip Pay approval decisions are made instantly and depend on factors such as:
- Your available Zip limit
- Your repayment history
- Your outstanding Zip balance
- Whether your account has been fully verified
Zip may decline a transaction even if you have successfully used Zip before.
Repayments and fees
Zip Pay is interest-free.
You can choose how much to repay each month, as long as you meet Zip’s minimum monthly repayment amount.
A monthly account fee may apply if you have an outstanding balance at the end of your billing cycle.
All repayments can be managed through the Zip app or website.
Refunds and returns
If your order is refunded:
- Zip will adjust or cancel upcoming repayments
- Any repayments you’ve already made will be refunded back to your card
The timing of refunds may vary depending on your bank and Zip’s processing time.
